Monarchs In Memory

Monarchs In Memory is a page for those who would like to celebrate the life of a family member, friend, or pet who has passed on. This is a unique way to honor and remember them. Each monarch we tag will be named after a person or pet you choose to remember. A web page will be made in their honor including pictures or video, if provided, and the story of their life. Next to their pictures will be their tagged monarch butterfly, tag number, date of release and location of release. THIS IS A FREE SERVICE, but if you would like to donate any monetary amount to one of the below organizations in honor of your loved one, we would encourage you to do so.

 

Every fall, monarch butterflies migrate to warmer climates. Tagging monarchs helps to better understand their migration pattern. Also, some of the tagged monarchs are recovered in Mexico, so it is exciting to think yours might make it all the way!
